I love the way this student, practicing with me for the first time, expressed that she felt comfortable with me as a teacher. A yoga mat is a place for authenticity, and I'm so thankful she experienced that in my class.

​​These aren't the most pretzel-esque of yoga postures (compared to many), but they demonstrate a flexibility and strength I couldn’t have imagined a few years ago. When I look at these pictures, I remember the journey I’ve taken with each one of these poses and how much I’ve learned about myself and my body in the process. These are some of the postures in my regular practice, and there are many others that I’m just beginning to explore. I love that you never “arrive” in yoga. You never perfect every posture. If you’re doing it right, a yoga practice will always be a work in progress with something new to learn.
